Denise’s main motivation for enrolling on the programme was to reconnect with her own wellbeing and to help support her colleagues, friends and family with their wellbeing.
Denise, by her own admission, says that although there were initial concerns around prioritising herself and the Habits for Health Programme due to very challenging personal life circumstances at the start, she felt it was an ‘extremely helpful and beneficial support mechanism at a difficult time in her life.’
What was the most useful thing that you took away from the Habits for Health Programme?
“I don't think I can pinpoint one specific thing. Certainly the nutrition side, the reflective thinking, happiness - what does happiness mean to you? It makes you think about what's important and what's not. It makes you appreciate what you've got and what you haven't. I've found each step really useful. It's alright to engage in it, but you've got to embrace it."
Did anything surprise you about the Habits for Health Programme?
“I really enjoyed the 1% progress experiments and how you can adapt this into everyday life. You can create your own little 3 experiments and put them together and adapt them to yourself and it does work!"
