What are Wellbeing Ambassadors?

Wellbeing Ambassadors play a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive company culture. By acting as role models and advocates for wellbeing, they can inspire and empower colleagues to prioritise their mental and physical health. Ambassadors can also help to create a more inclusive and empathetic workplace by promoting understanding and acceptance of diverse experiences. Additionally, they can provide valuable feedback and insights to management, helping to ensure that wellbeing initiatives are effective and aligned with the needs of employees.

Wellbeing Ambassador Training is a one-day (two half days) course for employees, existing Health Champions or Mental Health First Aiders who have successfully graduated from the Habits for Health programme.

Training can be delivered virtually or at your location as an individual session or in groups of up to 9 employees.

Wellbeing Ambassadors have access to one of our expert Wellbeing Coaches and are invited to join bi-monthly round table discussions with external wellbeing professionals.

To maintain Wellbeing Ambassador status and access to the Habits for Health programme Wellbeing Ambassadors must:

  • Complete the Habits for Health online programme every 12 months.
  • Attend a half-day refresher training after 3 years.

Wellbeing Ambassadors emphasise your organisation’s commitment to caring for and improving the wellbeing
of your employees. They facilitate better communication between staff and their managers, they inspire change and help to promote a positive workplace culture. Wellbeing Ambassadors will:

  • Create customised action plans with clear signposting and referral pathways
  • Continue improving their communication and emotional intelligence, specifically listening, questioning, management, and motivation.
  • Effectively facilitate cross-departmental engagement and inclusion.
