The strength of a team, working together cohesively, towards a common goal, using different skill sets and knowledge enhances performance and produces a great outcome.
Putting on a large event is no mean feat! Wellbeing People used to run an annual wellbeing event, The Wellbeing Symposium, with top keynote speakers, wellbeing workhops, exhibitors, question time, demonstrations and much more. As always, months and months of planning accelerated to intense organisation and hard work in the last few weeks!
The day would arrive and we were ready to go! All we could do is hope that delegates showed up and most of all enjoy and benefit from attending this pioneering wellbeing event! Hours of preparation are gone in what seems like a blink of an eye. However, the rewards snowball, gaining strength as delegates make vital connections, taking away essential wellbeing messages, strategies, and in many cases personal changes to promote a more positive and healthy lifestyle.
The Strength of a Team
Recognising the contributions of others and what you or a group of people can gain from each individual, makes for great teamwork! It creates synergy where the combined effect of the team is greater than that of individual efforts.
Singing our own praises and being proud of what we do encourages the team to raise the bar for future events.
The attention to detail and the pride shown by the Wellbeing People team was so evident at The Wellbeing Symposium events. This was noticed and commented on by delegates, sponsors, and partners; from working tirelessly to make sure our products and services were in tip-top condition through to simple acts of kindness and thoughtfulness; quickly tidying up wiring to improve the appearance of the stand; wiping down our Interactive Health Kiosk between each use; picking up someone’s coat which had fallen on the floor; approaching a delegate to offer assistance or plate up some lunch for a colleague who hadn’t yet had a break; the list goes on and on – and every team member made all the difference.
